Clay L. Nutter, 85, of Reedsville, Ohio,formerly of Creston, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at his residence. He was born Oct. 2, 1919, in Creston, W.Va., a son of the late George and Ruth Nutter. He was a retired mechanic for Fischbach Trucking, a member of Teamsters Local 24, an Air Force veteran of World War II and an ordained minister for 30 years. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Bill Campbell; five grandchildren, including Meredith Rufener and her husband, Dan; five great-grandchildren, including Teresa, D.J. and Holly Rufener; a brother, Robert Nutter; a brother-in-law, James Husk. formerly of Hur, Calhoun County; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Leona Nutter; his second wife, Louella Nutter; and two sisters, Florence Sheets and Maxine Husk. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, with the Revs. Wilbert Lowe and George Riffle officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery, Hockingport, Ohio. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. |
