Macel Gay Murphy, 67 - Spencer

Macel Gay Murphy, 67, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away May 29, 2004 at home.

Born in Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Coy and Virgie Parsons Suttles. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Dean Murphy of Mt. Zion and Timothy Paul Murphy of Arnoldsburg; two daughters, Linda Ann Husk of Arnoldsburg and Sandra Kay Moore of Big Springs; six half sisters, Sue Minney of Orma, Pearl Carpenter and Wavalene Cottrill both of Arnoldsburg, Lena Parsons of Chapel, Delores Tanner of Nebo and Irene Suttles of Ohio; two half brothers, George Suttles of Parkersburg and Jimmy Suttles of Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Deva Marie Hardman, Brandi Jean Wood, Brian Lee Husk, Jessica Lynn Wood, Kelsey Ryan Wood, Quintin Murphy, Sara Leann Husk and Michael Paul Murphy.

Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by three children, Brenda, Michael and Roger, and one half brother, Melvin Hardway.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1 at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Rick Metheney will officiate. Interment will be in the Orma Cemetery at Orma.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service Tuesday.
