Residents enjoy candle-lighting ceremony

The sixth annual Memorial Day Ceremony was held Thursday night at the long term care unit of Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center.

Pastor Mary Zimmer welcomed long-term care residents, their families and community members to the ceremony.

The Candle Lighting Ceremony was conducted by Pastor Harry Siers, assisted by Pastor Rick Metheney, Jan Poling and Nelda Gill.

Special music was provided by Ed Eisley, Shari Johnson, Dorothy McCaulley, Calvin Wilson, Sara Walker, Redeemed and the Soul Seekers.

Zimmer expressed appreciation for the community effort, including the Chaplain's Association, Art Bell for the sound system and Friends of Minnie Hamilton.

Friends of Minnie Hamilton served refreshments.
