UNITED METHODIST COOPERATIVE PARISH AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS

Calhoun County United Methodist Cooperative Parish awarded High School Senior Melissa Hartshorn, the daughter of Lisa and Jeff Hartshorn a $750 scholarship. In addition, High School Senior Holly Burch, daughter of Shelia and Cleo Burch was awarded a $500 Scholarship and Zach Houchin, son of Kelley and Jeff Houchin was awarded a $250 scholarship.

This is the fourth year the Calhoun United Methodist Cooperative Parish has awarded such scholarships based on church and community involvement and expression of the applicant's faith.

Pastor Mary Zimmer, Coordinator for the Parish stated the scholarships were made possible through gifts from individuals and United Methodist Churches within Calhoun County.

"The scholarships recognizes and supports our youth and their openness in being servants of Christ, which continues to be an important and exciting ministry for the Parish," said Pastor Zimmer.
