He was born a son of the late Hugh and Alma Poling Boatright. He attended New Testament Baptist Church at Big Springs.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Davis Boatright of Spencer; sons, Glen and Jeffrey Boatright both of Spencer and Michael Boatright of Letart, WV; daughters, Donna Richards of Sistersville, WV, Karen Hardway of Grantsville, WV and Patricia Carbaugh of Matoka, WV; brother, Delbert Boatright of Ripley, WV; sisters, Lena Lewis of Lowell, Ohio, Irene bates of Byesville, Ohio and Oliva Nester of Charlotte, NC; 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Boatright and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 1 p.m. Pastor Joe Sealy will officiate. Interment will be in Sand Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
