WALTON TEEN DIES IN FIERY CRASH

A Walton teen died in a fiery crash Sunday morning near the Kanawha-Roane County line. Jeremy Glenn Reed, 17, died when he lost control of his truck, hit two trees and was trapped in his truck, which caught on fire. Authorities said an unidentified 15-year-old girl managed to escape. The accident happened about 4:35 a.m. Sunday, according to a 911 dispatcher. Reed was heading east on Poca Road, about four miles north of Frame Road in the Elkview area. He was driving a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup.
