Goldie Maloney, 86, of Vienna went to be with her Lord on May 6, 2004, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 10, 1917, in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Bryan and Mary Jane Bush Wright. She had worked for Arlene's Dress Shop as a retail manager and was a member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church.

She was the beloved wife for 65 years of Don Maloney; was loving mother to son Don Maloney Jr. and wife, Sharon Sue, of Parkersburg, daughters, Shirleyan Brown and husband, Dave, of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C., Patricia Fordyce and husband, James A., of Parkersburg; and proud of her six grandchildren, Don Maloney III and wife, Julia, of Parkersburg, Chad Maloney and wife, Bridget Queen, of Parkersburg, Carrie Dawn Stairs and husband, Eric, of N. Myrtle Beach, James L. Fordyce and wife, Amy, John E. Fordyce and wife, Tammy, and Christopher S. Fordyce and wife, Kimberly, all of Parkersburg; nine great-grandchildren; and sister to Thelma Francis of Parkersburg, Harlow Wright of New Mexico, Kenneth Wright of Ripley and Tressia Francis of Grantsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters and an infant grandson.

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. John Koerner officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
