Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center is offering summer classes funded by Lights On! Please call the Lights On! office at 304-354-7595 to enroll. Classes are designed for the adult population.
WOVEN CHAIR SEATS - Joyce Cain, Instructor, Thursday and Friday, July 8 and 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Learn to repair or replace seats in split-bottom chairs with ½" flat reed. Participants will furnish a chair (or call 354-6894 if you need a chair for learning purposes) and two table knives. Bring lunch, snacks, etc.
ADVANCED BEAD-WORK - Linda Jones, Instructor, Tuesday and Wednesday, July 13 and 14, 1 to 4 p.m., Maximum number: 7.
For advanced students only. Participants will learn advanced beading techniques while making two (2) bracelets and one (1) necklace.
CUSTOM WOODWORKING - Ada Overbaugh, Instructor, Mondays and Thursdays, 4 weeks
Begins May 17, 6 to 9 p.m.
Learn basic woodworking skills as you construct a custom oak cutting board and wall shelf.
