DARING DUO DELIVER THE FISH

(05/01/2004)

Jim Bell and Duck Stevens have brought a lot of fried fish meals to different Calhoun groups. But none more daring than the services rendered to the Lick Run Hunting Club, according to Russ Ferrell.

Jim and Duck were on their way to cook for the group when Jim's vehicle slid over the hill, stuck and stranded.

Duck was designated to go for help, and he walked a distance to the camp, reporting the dilemma. In the meantime, Jim found some help and got pulled back on the highway and drove over to the camp to find his sidekick Duck sacked out and resting from his strenuous walk.

After a fine cooked meal, the cooks prepared to leave the camp, but not after outfitting Duck with a helmet, just in case a second accident occurred.

The Lick Run Club now desires to express their appreciation to the duo, risking life and limb to please their friend's palate.

The Canadian fish were wonderful with those horseradish pickles.
