DISASTER PRACTICE HELD BY CALHOUN EMS

Calhoun EMS and several volunteers practiced a number of drills yesterday morning related to simulated disasters, according to Director Josh Johnson. EMTs and emergency workers used protocols to assess the nature of injuries, triage and direct for further "treatment." A temporary triage center was set up at the site. The exercise was held in a field adjacent the EMS station at Mt. Zion.
