Calhoun County has 5,118 registered voters, according to the latest numbers from the County Clerk's office.

Voter registration for the May 11 election was closed last week.

The County Clerk's office will be open today for early voting, according to Clerk Richard Kirby.

Records show 195 individuals registered for the first time or changed their voter registration.

There are 3,460 registered Democrats.

There are 1,140 registered Republicans.

There are 508 registered Independent.

Others include, 8 Libertarian, 1 Mountain Party, 1 Socialist Party.

Kirby said there have been 101 voters cast their ballots through early voting so far.
