Patrick Junior O'Dell, 76 - Walton

Patrick Junior O'Dell, 76, of Walton, died Friday, April 23, 2004, in the St. Francis Hospital, Charleston.

He was born February 3, 1928, in Clay County, a son of the late Patrick O'Dell and the late Elizabeth Runnion O'Dell Mullins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Lee O'Dell; two brothers, Leon and William O'Dell; one sister, Helen Carper; one half brother, Huey O'Dell; one half sister, Evelyn Adkins.

He was a retired pipeliner and saw mill employee.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Faye Goodwin O'Dell of Walton; eight sons, Larry Keith of Newton, Richard of Looneyville, Gregory, William "Eddie", Gary, Michael Ray, Roger and Randy O'Dell all of Walton; three daughters, Barbara Shamblin of Spencer, Elizabeth Smith and Joan Greathouse both of Looneyville; two brothers Eugene of Looneyville and Paul of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Marlene Vineyard of Arnoldsburg and Arlene Cobb of Clay; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, April 25 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Darrell E. Adkins and the Rev. J. Herbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m.
