GAINER RETURNS FROM IRAQ - Becomes New Dad Next Day

PFC Timothy Gainer returned home from Iraq on March 6, 2004. He became a new father, the following day, March 7.

PFC Timothy Gainer, 82nd Airborne Division, 307th Engineer Battalion, was based right outside of Fallujah, Iraq, with the U.S. Army. He was stationed there for six months.

"We are so blessed he made it home to us and we're thankful," says Gainer's mother, Loretta. "Our prayers go out to the remaining service personnel who are still over there and our hopes are they will get to come home soon, safe and sound. Our deepest respect go to the ones who have served and who are serving for our country ... God bless them all," she says.

Jayden Ashley Gainer, was born March 7, 2004. Her parents are PFC Timothy Gainer and Elizabeth Gainer, stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Grandparents are, Timothy L. and Loretta Gainer of Barberton, Ohio and Mark and Diana Ballard of Fairlawn, Ohio. Great-grandparents are, Delbert L. (Bo) and Bertha Gainer, also Dessel and the late Buster Starcher of Barberton, Ohio along with great-aunts and great-uncles and numerous cousins in the Calhoun County area.
