This was the last preliminary pageant of the year for the Miss West Virginia Scholarship Pageant held each year in June.

The title was held by Calhoun's own Cindy Sims several years ago.

The categories of judging Sunday night included personal interview, swimsuit, talent, and evening gown.

The pageant was directed by Terry Ellyson of Glenville and Paige Toney of Grantsville.

"Special thanks to the Grantsville Lions Club and to the Grantsville and Glenville Foodland for assisting with the event," said Toney.
