ARTHUR CASE DISMISSED "WITH PREJUDICE" - Badgett Facing Drug Charges

From Calhoun Magistrate Court Records

A petit larceny case against David Scott Arthur of Creston has been dismissed with prejudice, which means the case cannot be re-filed. Arthur was charged with stealing a chain saw and collectable money valued at about $900 from Angela Wykert of Creston.

The case was apparently dropped in magistrate court on April 5 because Trooper C. J. Ellyson did not appear, although court records state "The victim did not appear." Wykert, the victim, claims she was not notified about the trial.

Arthur faces other charges next Monday in Calhoun Circuit Court related to drug possession. He is represented by attorney David Karickoff.

Michael David Badgett of Chloe has been charged with second offense reckless driving and the manufacturing of marijuana. He was arrested by Calhoun Deputy Sheriff Ron Bandy. He has been released on bond and is scheduled to appear in magistrate court on April 19.
