MORE INFAMOUS WEST VIRGINIA ROBBERS

(03/20/2004)
A Boone County hold-up artist left a calling card.

A Kanawha County man went over to Boone County and robbed a convenience store yesterday morning.

Thirty-six-year-old Terry Lee Romine of Hansford ordered a slice of pizza from the V-Mart in Comfort, then demanded cash, saying he had a gun.

The store clerk had a problem opening the cash register and Romine decided to take the register with him, crashing through a wrong door before he found the exit.

Romine created a small problem for himself.

He left his open wallet on the counter, while paying for the pizza.

Police were called and Romine was captured later in the morning.

He is also a suspect in the robbery of a Cedar Grove Go-Mart last week.
