Winners in the county Young Writers competition have been announced. The Young Writers Contest at each school submitted several selections judged outstanding at each level, by county judges.

The first place selection at each level was sent to Marshall University for state-wide judging. All of those students will be invited to the annual Young Writers Day celebration at the University of Charleston on May 7. County winners will be recognized and state winners announced. Later in May all of the students listed, first through third places, will be recognized at the annual Calhoun County Recognition Ceremony.
