SMALL BUSINESS INCOME TAX SEMINAR - Grantsville March 23rd

Workforce West Virginia is partnering with Paul Cook, of the Fairmont State College Small Business Development Center, to offer a seminar entitled "Small Business Income Tax" on Tuesday, March 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Workforce West Virginia Office located on Main Street, Grantsville, WV (in the old Garland's Grocery).

This training will provide an overview of the income taxes that apply to various business entities and the forms for reporting with an emphasis on sole proprietor taxes (Profit & Loss From Business), Schedule SE (Self-Employment Tax), and Form 1040-ES (Quarterly Estimates).

Other topics will include a description of legal business structures, business use of car, home office deduction, and income tax responsibilities for Partnerships, Corporations, and Limited Liability companies.

Attendees are encouraged to ask questions and discuss tax issues facing a small business. Pre-registration is necessary since seating is limited. Contact Robert or Christie at 354-7920 to register for the workshop.

Free confidential business consultation is available by appointment at the SBDC office in Flatwoods. Paul Cook also visits Weston on the first Tuesday of each month, Spencer on the second Tuesday, Glenville on the third Tuesday, and Grantsville on the fourth Tuesday to offer local consultations to businesses and prospective entrepreneurs.
