Veda Campbell Morrison, 98 - Grantsville

Veda Campbell Morrison, 98, of Grantsville, passed away March 5, 2004 eleven days short of her 99th birthday, at the Willow's Center in Parkersburg.

She was born March 14, 1905 at Grantsville, daughter of the late John and Bertie Deem Propst.

She was a charter member of the Grantsville Women's Club and a 50 year member and past matron of the Grantsville Chapter No. 73 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Grantsville, where she had been a Sunday School teacher and a member of the church choir.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Milfred G. and Marjorie Campbell of Battle Creek, Michigan and Gary and Carol Campbell of Parkersburg; a grandson, Douglas Campbell and his wife Sandra of Battle Creek; granddaughters, Marcia Campbell and her husband Joe of Parkersburg, Dana Hubbard and her husband David of Morgantown; six great-grandchildren. Scott, Alex, Erin, Steven, Chrissy and Greg.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Guss Campbell in 1945 and her second husband, Troea Morrison in 1989, and a sister, Stella Sears.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday.
