MOBILE HOME BURNS ON BEAR FORK - Neighbors Discover Fire

A mobile home along U.S. 33-119 near the Gilmer County line on Bear Fork was completely destroyed by fire Monday morning. Charles Sampson, owner of the home, his wife and children had left the residence earlier. The blaze was discovered by neighbors.

Grantsville and Arnoldsburg VFD's respond

The fire was reported at 9:18 a.m. with the Grantsville and Arnoldsburg Volunteer Fire Departments responding with five pieces of fire apparatus. The home was completely engulfed when firemen arrived.

The origin of the fire was unknown, according to fireman Keith Smith of the Grantsville VFD.

Calhoun EMS responded to a single car accident on the Nobe Road near Five Forks General Store at 4:43 p.m. There were no injuries requiring transport.
