WIRT COUNTIANS INVITED TO CHARLESTON - Day At Legislature

(04/09/2001)
Cash-strapped Wirt County is seeking some relief from the State of West Virginia. The county is facing a crushing regional jail bill that could be the final push toward bankruptcy.

Robert Lowe, Wirt County Commissioner, is asking all Wirt Countians who are interested in seeking a solution to travel to Charleston this Wednesday (April 11). "We encourage everyone to attend Wirt County Day at the legislature. Your presence in Charleston will call attention to the counties concerns," he said.

The group will meet in the capitol rotunda between 9:30-10:00 a.m.
