| Spring fire season officially starts today through May 31st, which does not allow
outside burning between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
High temperatures and outside burning led to at least two brush fires over the
weekend, just prior to the restrictions.
The Grantsville and Arnoldsburg VFD responded to a 3-acre fire on a hillside on
Big Root after 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Upper West Fork VFD answered a brush fire call along Rt. 16 at Milo Road,
Minnora, where one acre reportedly burned.
The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to a minor accident on Beech Road, Sunday
afternoon. No one was taken to the hospital.
