REMAINS FOUND ON LEWIS-GILMER BORDER - Identity Being Sought

(02/27/2004)
A hunter has found skeletal remains close to the Gilmer County line.

The remains were found in the Copely area in a wooded area of Lewis County near the Gilmer border.

The state medical examiner is trying to determine the identity of the body.

Some family members wonder if the remains could be those of a missing Kanawha County woman who vanished in 2002.

Bonnie Lueann Woods-Cale left Kanawha County to visit her daughter in Tucker County, and was never seen again, although her vehicle was discovered in Webster County.

A mother and daughter also vanished from Jane Lew, Lewis County a few years ago.
