TWO MEN INJURED IN CRASH - Rock Run Accident Scene

A driver and occupant from the Grantsville area received injuries Sunday night when their vehicle crashed head-on into a tree. The accident happened at Rock Run near the Wirt-Calhoun line at 7:15 p.m. Emergency services responded to Straight Creek, a remote area between Munday Road and Burning Springs. Authorities said the vehicle was driven by John Miller.

Two men taken to hospital

Calhoun EMS transported the men, reportedly suffering from neck and back pain, to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center where at least one was being transferred to St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg at 11 p.m. The passengers name was being withheld pending notification of family members at press time.

State Police and the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department also responded. The area is often used by ATV's and sports utility vehicles. It was the scene of a four-wheeler accident a few weeks ago where the victim, a Parkersburg resident, was life-flighted to Charleston Area Medical Center.
