Clara Elizabeth (Katie) Cummings, 88 of Elmira, Braxton County, West Virginia, died February 23, 2004 at her home.

She was born January, 13, 1916, the daughter of the late James L. and Marsha Ellison Kelly. She was a Baptist and member of the Elmira Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Vickery and Merle Bonnette and brothers, Lawrence, Claude and Leroy Kelly.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, H. Ray Cummings; a daughter, Helen Mollahan and her husband, Larry of Big Otter, WV; sons, Leon of Fairmont, WV, Jerry of Elmira, Keith and his wife Kathy of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren, Kim Henline of Greer, NC, Renee Cummings of Fairmont, Jennifer Toler of Flatwoods, WV, Dana, Brian and Kevin Cummings of Martinsburg; great grandchildren, Hanna Renee Henline and Lindsey Clara Toler.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 27 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Rev. Dewey Tanner will officiate. Interment will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
