LARRY BAKER FILES FOR SCHOOL BOARD

A third person has filed for the non-partisan Board of Education.

Former Calhoun Middle/High School computer technologist Larry Baker is seeking a school board seat. Baker is currently an administrative head for computer technology development at Glenville State College.

Incumbents Burl Simers and Ralph Cunningham have also filed.

Two school board members are to be elected, with only two board members from each district allowed to serve. Two candidates will be eligible to be elected from Sherman and Washington District this cycle. One candidate can be elected from Sheridan, Lee and Center Districts.

The deadline for filing is January 31.
