Robert "Ebb" Swisher, 83 - Grantsville

Robert "Ebb" Swisher, 83, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away December 15, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.

Born at McFarlan, WV, he was a son of the late Miner Elbert and Viola Nutter Swisher. He was a former truck driver for Eureka Pipeline Company and was a former Calhoun County School bus driver. He was a lifelong member of the Brooksville United Methodist Church and was a member of the AFL-CIO, Grantsville Senior Citizens Association and the Five Forks String Band. He loved his family, his friends and his music.

Surviving are his wife, Opal Swisher and two sons, Bobby Swisher and his wife, Marsha of Five Forks, WV and Calvin Swisher and his wife Kathleen of Parkersburg; four grandchildren, Tiffany Swisher of Five Forks, Nichole, Michael and Mark Swisher of Parkersburg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18 at 1 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Mary Zimmer will officiate. Interment services will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the services Thursday.
