THE SHADOWS AT HEARTWOOD - Celebrating The Artist In Every Person

(12/15/2003)

Henry James wrote that art is the shadow of humanity, but hundreds of years earlier Michelangelo said it is "A shadow of divine perfection."

Heartwood in the Hills has lots of "shadows" - masks, paintings and objects to interest the eye and mind.

Heartwood held their annual December Celebration this past weekend, and visitors were invited to view artwork done by Heartwood students and faculty.

The art department was covered from one end to the other with displays.

The center always takes time-out to remember a few who have passed, all who have left their "shadows" at Heartwood:

Barbara Anderson
Sidney Binder
Lenore Booher
Delbert Bunner, Sr.
Rosemary Gainer
Michael Jacobs
Dustin McCormick
