RITCHIE PASSES SCHOOL LEVY - Few Bothered To Vote

A three-year levy for Ritchie County Schools passed yesterday by a vote of 414-165, according to Susan Scott, Ritchie County Clerk. Only 579 of the county's 6,400 voters bothered to go to the polls. Ritchie County Schools Superintendent Richard Butler said he appreciated the support from the community. The level has been in place for 12 years.
