ONLINE BENEFIT AUCTION STARTS TO SUPPORT CALHOUN COUNTY LIVESTOCK PROGRAM

(07/19/2021)

The Calhoun County Livestock Program is hosting an online auction to assist with fundraising money to improve the Old Arnoldsburg School Property. The [CCLP] is a 501©(3) organization thatís mission is to educate youth about livestock and provide a safe environment and location for youth to show and sell their projects.

The organization has been steadily improving the old property in hopes that it can be used not just by the livestock program but by other community organizations and residents. Throughout the last several years the CCLP has had several organizations use the facility to practice baseball, softball, basketball and wrestling. CCLP wants this space to be available to anyone that would like to use it, but it still is in need of some repairs and updates to reach itís full potential.

Unfortunately, the pandemic has slowed down progress and limited the funds that are available to do upgrades and needed repairs. The CCLP is seeking donations of items or services to auction off to fund raise money. Since CCLP is a 501©(3) the value of your item that you donate is tax deductible.

You may ask yourself what kind of item could I donate? Any item that is new or used but still in good working order. A few examples: home dťcor, tools, hunting supplies, baked goods, kitchen items, gift cards, services such as handyman and weed eating, homemade craft items, antiques, themed totes/basket and the list goes on. Everyone has some kind of item that they can donate that you just donít use any longer but would still be nice enough that someone would buy.

To donate items please contact Daisy Bailey at 304-462-7061 or Jenna Jett at 304-655-6724. Drop off times are being arranged or items may be picked up. Collection of items through the beginning of July. The online auction will be hosted using Facebook and bidding is planned to start July 19. Anyone that donates an item will be recognized with the item they donate as it is posted to the online auction.

The CCLP truly appreciates all the support for the kids throughout the last 11 years and hopes that you will consider donating an item to be auctioned off.
