BILL DOWNS KILLS TURKEY, DIGS RAMPS AND CATCHES TROUT IN ONE DAY

(04/30/2015)

Bill Downs, formerly of Arnoldsburg, and brother of Harley Downs says, "I got this bird at 7:30 this morning (Apr. 28) Neck shot at 100 yards. Checked it in over the internet at the DNR site. I am almost 70, last old hunter remaining in the mountains. Already dug some ramps. Leaving to catch some trout for supper. Temperature is 45 degrees now but 35 degrees when I was hunting this morning."

His son, Matthew Downs, responded to his dad's turkey kill, "Another picture with a dead animal."
