RED DEVILS COULD STILL BE IN PLAYOFFS - Price Scores Only TD

(10/26/2002)

Dick Sturm's Ravenswood Blue Devils (7-2) defeated Calhoun's Red Devils (7-2) 14-6 in a game riddled with turnovers, at least ten, during a rainy evening last night at Ravenswood.

After a lack of scoring in the first quarter, Calhoun's Price got the fumbled ball and returned it 48 yards for the team's only touchdown, the extra point failing.

The Calhoun Red Devils will likely not drop from the top 16 schools in Class AA ratings, but may need to win next Friday's game against Braxton County to get into their first post-season invitation since 1983. It has been a long time since Red Devil fans are enthused about the possibilities.
