WV DEAD LAST IN US PRESIDENTIAL VOTER TURN-OUT - States Young Voter Turn-Out Dropped 50%

(06/27/2013)

The US Census Bureau has confirmed that West Virginia voter turn-out was dead in the USA in last November's presidential election.

West Virginia was the only state where less than half of eligible voters voted, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau released in May.

Young West Virginians in the 18-24 range had the worst voter turn-out in the nation, only 23 percent.

The turnout among young people in the Mountain State was worse than the 2008 election, where 48.4 percent voted, now falling more than 50%.

Texas prison inmate Keith Judd scored 41 percent in the Mountain State Democratic primary, revealing just how unpopular President Obama was.

Judd is currently serving a 17.5-year sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Texarkana, Texas, for extortion and making threats at the University of New Mexico in 1999.
