CALHOUN DAYS 'PONY PULL' DRAWS PARTICIPANTS

(09/10/2012)

Teams that can pull the greatest weight
the greatest distance are the winners

Calhoun Days got dampened down over the weekend, but the public enjoyed the scheduled events including wagon ridges and tours of Heritage Village.

The highlight of the event was the Pony Pull Contest, with a large number of regional pony teams competing in the contest, pulling a sled which was weighted down, sometimes 2,000 pounds or more.

The sun shone after a rainy day for the
contest, with spectators enjoying the event
