FREE MARKET? - Oil Consumption Down, Gasoline Prices Up

(04/05/2010)

COMMENT by Bob Weaver

Oil consumption is down, with the purchase of gasoline flat in the USA.

Refineries are operating well below capacity.

Yet, oil prices are hitting $90 a barrel and gasoline is hitting $3 a gallon.

What gives with the free market?

Same deal as before, those fine folks call Wall Street speculators.

Same deal with the national economy, the US government turned its head (deregulation), allowing unfettered greed-mongering.
