EXCITIN' BASKETBALL TOURNEYS AT CM/HS CAMPUS - "Night of Champions" Saturday Evening, Middle School Girls Playoff Friday And Saturday

A big crowd is expected for the Central West Virginia Athletic Conference middle school girl's basketball tournament. Calhoun Middle School is hosting the four-game tourney, and the local girl's team will be in the playoffs.

Calhoun is slated to play Richwood Middle School at 6 p.m., followed by Braxton vs. Clay. The championship games will continue Saturday at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Calhoun Middle/High School principal Roger Propst said "We hope Calhoun sports fans will come out for the action."

The other big event is the 15th annual Little Kanawha Conference "Night of Champions," which is coming to the Mt. Zion campus Saturday evening for the first time.

The boy's basketball event will be a real thriller, with doors opening at 4 :30 p.m.
