The Calhoun Wrestlers won the Braxton County
Invitational this past Saturday, January, 12, for the second year in a row.
Twenty-one
teams participated in the event. The Red Devils
finished first and beat Roane County, the second place team
by sixty points. It was a two day event with a lot of
teams and great wrestling.
First place finishers were Justin Ashley -112 lb., and
Chris Morris -125 lb.
Second place finishers were Bryan Gungle -103 lb., Jared
Brewer -119 lb., Derek Metz -130 lb., Ray Burge -171 lb.,
and Charlie Gibson -275 lb.
Finishing in third place were Jeff Morris -140 lb., Eric
Metz -145 lb., and Joey Moore -160 lb.
