Natalie White has been named Second Team All State Class A-AA in volleyball. This is the first time a Calhoun volleyball player has achieved a state title, only 18 girls in the state are given the honor.

Natalie helped her team achieve an outstanding winning record this year, we are all very proud of her. LKC place holders have not been released, but many Calhoun players are predicted to make the lists.

Natalie has lettered in four different sports, volleyball, basketball, track, and softball, volleyball is her favorite. She was selected to the 1st team All Little Kanawha Conference in volleyball and awarded All State Special Honorable Mention in volleyball last year as a junior at Gilmer County High School. She is very happy to be playing for the Red Devils this her last year of high school.

This year Natalie has been selected to the All Tournament Team at the Doddridge County Invitational. The Red Devils came in third place in the eight team tournament.

Natalie's dad, David White says, "I am hoping that the LKC coaches will again select her to the 1st Team LKC for volleyball. It would really be something for her to get it twice in her high school career and by being selected as a player from two different schools." "I am very proud of Natalie." he said.

Natalie's statistics:

Scored 169 points on serve with 30 Aces.
Scored almost 17% of all team points for the 2001 Red Devil Volleyball season.
Attempted 309 serves and made 255 of them successfully.
Had 12 assists.
Made 68 out of 78 set attempts.
Made 252 kills of opponents volleys.
Made 486 out of 607 spike attempts.
While playing in the back row she made 420 of 576 receptions of serves or volleys.
Helped lead her team to an 18-16-1 record, the first winning season of this young Red Devil volleyball team.
