New Switchboard

At a special meeting of the stockholders of the Citizens Telephone Co., held in the Court House on Saturday, a fee of $3 was assessed on each country member of the association, and $6 for those residing in corporate limits, for the purpose of installing a new and modern switchboard in the central office here.  The present board is getting out of repair, difficult to manipulate with any satisfaction to both the operator and patrons of the line, and the move did not come any too soon.  With a new switchboard and the wires placed in good condition the service on this line would be most satisfactory.
