WOODFEST FLASHBACK 2004: HIGH-ENERGY HEARTWOOD STREET PERFORMANCE - A Salute To Calhoun County

Heartwood in the Hill's mask and puppet pageant, a salute to Calhoun County - delighted festival goers yesterday afternoon. The performance was presented by more than 40 children and adults in new and familiar masks.

The street performance featured a high energy folk dance choreographed and performed by Artistic Director Jude Binder with sixteen dancers in beautiful multi-colored costumes. Also featured was Calhoun County musician and teacher Michael Franek.

Dancers performed “The Salutation” and Heartwood’s youngest children from the Creative Arts for Children and Creative Dance classes performed a spiral dance.
