SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW - Pot Of Gold Near Hur

(01/13/2012)

Phyllis Kerby of Hur caught this rainbow in the winter of 2004 at her home to share the beauty with Herald readers.

Somewhere over the rainbow way up high, there's a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me. Where troubles melt like lemon drops away above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly. Birds fly over the rainbow. Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow why, oh why can't I?

From the Wizard of Oz - Music by Harold Arlen, lyrics by E.Y. Harburg
