CALHOUN'S CHRISTIAN ATHLETES HUDDLE - Thirty-Nine Meet At Y Restaurant (03/11/2004) The Calhoun Middle/High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddled at the Y Restaurant Tuesday, with 39 in attendance. Following the blessing and sharing the evening meal, entertainment was provided through a series of seven skits which focused on "What's really free in this world?" Featured actors and actresses included Tyler Schartiger, Steven Cunningham, Shawn Hillegas, Amanda Richards, Goob Fitzwater, Katie Hupp, Michael Sullivan, Courtney McKown, Tiff Hall, Marcus Davis, Andrea Hardway, Dustin Carpenter, Asst. Huddle Coach Tim Davis and guest, Coach Tim Moore. ( a special thanks to those in the acting group "The Jungle"). The "work-out" was based on Ephesians 1. Huddlers participated in a vigorous (and probably too loud) game of "Find Your Mate." Coach Bob Bailey ended the meeting with scripture reading from the book of Matthew and the Huddle prayed the Lord's Prayer. The FCA has been part of school athletics for several years, but was restarted last fall at the start of football season. "Thanks to the Y Restaurant for great food and quick service- with all those smiles!," concluded Bailey.
