CALHOUN YOUTH WRESTLING HAS A NATIONAL CHAMPION - Cody Clark Shines

Six members of the Calhoun Youth Wrestling Team participated in the USYWA Elementary and Middle School National Championships in Chester, West Virginia last Saturday.

Thirteen states participated in the tournament.

The national champion was Cody Clark. Cody's overall record this year is 35-1. His only loss this year came at the WSAZ middle school tournament were he finished 3rd.

Of the six wrestlers in the tourney, all placed 4th or better.

Finishing 2nd was Aaron Yoak, with his youth record at 12-4.

Finishing 3rd was Ben Laughlin, with his youth record at 22-2.

Finishing 3rd was Sean Gungle. Seans overall record is 25-8.

Finishing 3rd was Cameron Reip. Cameron's middle school record is 13-5.

Finishing 4th was Justin Yoak, whose youth record is 22-8.

The 13 states represented at this tournament, WV, OH, PA, AL, DE, GA, KY, MD, MI, NJ, NY, NC, and CO.

The whole team will wrestle at the state championships in Parkersburg on March 6th and 7th.
