CALHOUN MIDDLE A TEAM DEFEATS DODDRIDGE 44-35

Calhoun Middle School basketball traveled to West Union Wednesday evening to face the Doddridge Bobcats.

The "A Team" defeated the Bobcats 44-35 in what was described as "a real team effort," with the "B Team" losing 33-17.

A TEAM:

John Dodd had 19 points, 11 rebounds, 7 steals and 1 assist. It was Dodd's fourth double-double of the season.

Matt Houchin, 2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 6 assist; Andrew Norman, 6 points, 1 rebound, 4 steals and 2 assists; Zach Moore, 10 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists; Chance Hardway, 4 points, 3 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 assist; Jesse Keesler, 3 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals; Travis Godfrey, 1 steal, 1 assist.

B TEAM

Calhoun loss 33-17.

Jeremy Conley, 2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal; Brandon Cottrell, 2 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals; Josh Cain, 2 points, 1 rebound, 2 steals; Travis Godfrey, 4 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals; John Sampson, 5 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal; Danny Burkett, 1 rebound, 2 steals; Ethan Collins, 1 steal; Justin Gerwig, 2 rebound, 5 steals, 1 assist; Kyle Keesler, 2 points, 1 steal.

Coach Sims said "The boys would like to thank all the parents and fans for their support this year.

"We hope they will follow the team to Walton on February 19th for the last game of the season," he said.
