CALHOUN MIDDLE EIGHTH GRADERS TROUNCE GILMER 39-8 - Seventh Graders Defeated 40-14

Calhoun Middle School boys basketball played Gilmer County at CMS in 7th and 8th grade basketball, Thursday evening.

Gilmer defeated the seventh grade - Gilmer 40 to Calhoun 14, with Steve Carter of Gilmer leading the way with 20 points.

Jeremy Conley and Brandon Cottrell lead Calhoun with four points each.

Calhoun's eighth graders came out winning - Calhoun 39, Gilmer 8, with John Dodd scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds for Calhoun.

Matt Houchin had four points, five rebounds and nine steals.

Chance Hardway had seven points, three rebounds and four steals.

Andrew Norman had eight points, two rebounds and three steals.

Jesse Keesler had two points and six rebounds.

< Zach Moore had six points, two rebounds and four steals.

Leading in scoring for Gilmer Co. was Steve Ziola with five points.

Next game will be Tuesday, January 20 at 6 and 7:30 at Spencer.
