|Facing the challenge of improving academic outcomes at Calhoun Middle-High School, Kelli Whystell, co-principal, says "Student achievement is a high priority at Calhoun Middle/High School. The faculty and administration at CM/HS is working very hard to increase student achievement."|
Whytsell responded to reports on the Hur Herald of the school's failure to issue an Honor Roll, doing it intermittently over a period of four years, including one year of not issuing it at all.
"The Honor Roll was published for all grading periods except for the last nine weeks (2011-12). I have taken measures to ensure that we publish the Honor Roll every grading period next year," she said.
"During our teacher's summer Institute, we as a faculty discussed several ways in which we can share student work in the community. We are proud of our students and want to share the student achievements with the community and publish more student work."
Whytsell has been lauded as an education professional who has skill and knowledge to lead improvement efforts.
