“HATS OFF” TO WOOD FESTIVAL ORGANIZERS FOR 50TH EVENT

(06/07/2012)

The Calhoun County Wood Festival is a time for the community to come together and enjoy entertainment, the parade and fireworks, and lots of specialty food, not normally available.

Folks came with their lawn chairs to spend the evenings listening to performers on the Main Street Stage, shop at vendor booths and enjoy the carnival.

The Wood Festival committee spent hundreds of volunteer hours before and during the festival, making it happen.

With a dwindling number of volunteers, it's a lot of work.

The Wood Festival committee is also responsible for keeping Wayne Underwood Field up and running, another task for which they are commended.

“Hats off” to the dedicated volunteers.
