AES 4TH GRADE VALENTINE RAFFLE - Arnoldsburg Elementary 4th grade teachers are looking ahead toward the end of the year and developing a plan to recognize each of our students and their accomplishments. We want to make this a special occasion. We are offering tickets for a Longaberger basket filled with Valentine goodies (see above) The tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Tickets may be purchased from any 4th grade student or teacher or at the front desk at Arnoldsburg Elementary. The drawing will be held on Friday, February 13th.
QUILT RAFFLE - The Calhoun County Committee on Aging is raffling tickets for a handmade "Trip Around the World" quilt (see above) The Queen size quilt top was pieced by Lela White and hand quilted by the CCCOA Quilters. Proceeds will go to CCCOA Seniors. Tickets are being sold for $1 each or 6 for $5. Purchasing can be done at the CCCOA in Grantsville (Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm) or by mailing order to PO Box 619, Grantsville, WV 26147 (include a self-addressed envelope) Drawing on Wednesday, May 8th at 11 am (need not be present to win). Thank you for supporting the CCCOA Quilters in this fundraiser.
LIONS CLUB BINGO - Grantsville Lions Club, 103 Stump Street will have their regular Bingo, Saturday, February 7, and the first Saturday night of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. Refreshments available with lots of fun and fellowship. Proceeds from these fund raising events go back into the community, in the form of Scholarships for students desiring to further their education, our Vision Program (for those needing vision care) and many other worthy causes.
DINE & DONATE - SUPPORT THE CAUSE - Sunday, February 8th from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Arnoldsburg Park Community Building. Sandra Lilly, of Arnoldsburg, a caring girlfriend, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend to so many of us, was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2012. After a hard battle and chemotherapy, she has been in NED for 2 1/2 years. Sadly, the cancer has returned and multiplied and she must travel to Charleston for chemotherapy treatments and appointments. Sandy’s fight has begun again and we all can stand by her and support this terrific cause! Please bring your family and friends out for an afternoon of support and awareness. Silent auction with several donated items (gift certificates, baskets, etc.), raffles (gun, quilt, and basket) and food (hot dogs, chili, snacks and drinks). $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family (2 or more, up to 6) If you are unable to attend and would still like to make a donation, please send to: Sandy Lilly, P.O. LONGABERGER & CASE KNIFE BINGO - The Calhoun County Livestock Committee will be hosting a Longaberger Basket and Case Knife
Bingo, Saturday March 14 at 6 p.m. at the Arnoldsburg Community Building. Proceeds from the bingo will help support the 4-H and FFA Youth Livestock program in Calhoun County. For details see Longaberger Basket and Case Knife
LONGABERGER BASKET & 31 BINGO - West Fork Riding Club will be holding a Longaberger Basket & 31 Bingo at the Amma Senior Citizens Building on Saturday, March 14 at 6:00 p.m. with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. 3 knives will be raffled, and one 25.00 gift card throughout the night. There will be a Silent Auction and concessions. Games will be $20.00 and extras will be sold throughout as well. Please come out and help us raise money for our shows so our children can have a great place to have fun this year.
