FLEA MARKET - Friday Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Upper West Fork Park at Chloe. Inside or outside tables $10 per table. Park will sell concessions from 10:30 to 3:30. To reserve tables call Kay 304-655-8334 or Kristie 304-655-7572.

CRAFT SHOW IN THE GLEN - The Second Annual Christmas Craft Show in the Glen will take place on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Glenville at the GSC Criminal Justice Building (Old Kinney Shoe Factory) located on Rt. 5W just outside of town. There will be many local crafters showing and selling their handcrafted items that will include baskets, primitives, wooden products, etched glass, paintings, needle felting and so much more. Food items to be sold include jams, jellies and honey. Throughout the day there will be craft demonstrations to include spinning, weaving, chair weaving and quilting. Food and beverages will be served all day and door prizes will be given away. All proceeds from table rentals benefit the Gilmer County Volunteer Fire Department, so come help a worthy cause and support local crafters as you get your holiday shopping done early.

LONGABERGER BASKET & VERA BRADLEY BINGO - Sponsored by the West Virginia Chapter 09 Muskies, Inc. Saturday, December 5, at the Ritchie Co. 4-H Grounds, Harrisville WV. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Bingo begins at 6:00 p.m. 20 Games for $20. Side Raffles and activities will also be available. Concessions by the Harrisville Women's Club. Proceeds will go toward supporting WV Division of Natural Resources Fisheries projects and Youth Activities sponsored by Muskies, Inc. Some prize packages will include fishing and outdoor gear. BENEFIT FOR KIMMY POWELL - Saturday, December 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Arnoldsburg Community Building. This event is for Kimmy Powell a cancer patient who has stage 2 breast cancer. Admission is $5, Kids 5 under admitted free. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. concessions will be sold. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED. All donations will be greatly appreciated. LIONS CLUB BINGO - Grantsville Lions Club, 103 Stump Street will have their regular Bingo, Saturday, Dec. 5 and the first Saturday night of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. Refreshments available with lots of fun and fellowship. Proceeds from these fund raising events go back into the community, in the form of Scholarships for students desiring to further their education, our Vision Program (for those needing vision care) and many other worthy causes.
