AVFD BINGO - Arnoldsburg Vol. Fire Department will have Bingo at the Arnoldsburg Community Building, Saturday, May 30. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. Bingo starts at 6:00 p.m. 20 games for $20.00. Prizes include, Longaberger and Thirty-one. All proceeds go toward the 2016 Community Easter egg hunt. Bring a toy to donate for next year's Easter baskets and receive an extra door prize ticket.

KICK-START BINGOGrantsville Lions Club will have a Wood Festival Kick-Start Bingo Saturday, May 30, starting at 6:00 p.m. at the Lions Club building 103 Stump St, behind the CCCOA Building. As always proceeds from these fund raising events go back into the community, in the form of Scholarships for students desiring to further their education, the Lions Club Vision Program (for those needing vision care) and many other worthy causes. Look for the Bingo Tent at the Wood Festival, starting Monday evening June 1st through Saturday, June 6th. Monday thru Friday (6:00 to 9:00 pm) Saturday after the parade 2:00 to 9:00 pm.

CAR SHOW FUNDRAISER - Cross Country Christian Academy of Newton, WV will be having a Car Show Fundraiser, Saturday, May 30. To pre-register your vehicle call Tracie Hallman at 304-565-3399. All vehicles are welcome. Entry fee will be $10.00 with the show starting at 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. All vehicles will receive a participation certificate and one "People's Choice" award will be given. LIONS CLUB BINGO - Grantsville Lions Club, 103 Stump Street will have their regular Bingo, Saturday, June 6th, and the first Saturday night of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. Refreshments available with lots of fun and fellowship. Proceeds from these fund raising events go back into the community, in the form of Scholarships for students desiring to further their education, our Vision Program (for those needing vision care) and many other worthy causes.

2ND ANNUAL CALHOUN COUNTY FOOTBALL GOLF SCRAMBLE - At Mingo Bottoms, Elizabeth WV, Saturday, June 20. Shotgun Start at 9:00 a.m. Entry Fee $40 per player, 160 per team - four person team. One Mulligan per player will be provided, and limit of one per player can be purchased (Mulligans cannot be used on prize holes) Proceeds benefit the Calhoun County Football team. PORCH SWING RAFFLE - Grantsville Lions Club is selling raffle tickets for a porch swing (see above) made locally by Calhoun/Gilmer Career Center students. Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. The drawing will be held Saturday June 6, during the Calhoun County Wood Festival. Proceeds as usual, go back into the community in the form of Scholarships (for students desiring to further their education) the Lions Club Vision Program (for those in need of vision care) supporting our local library and many other worthy causes. QUILT & PICNIC PACK RAFFLES - The Pleasant Hill Relay for Life Team is sponsoring raffle tickets on two items to raise money for the American Cancer Society (see above) A Marshall queen size quilt, designed by Brian Hastewell, pieced by Janet Rucker and quilted by Maysel Bowe. The second item is a Picnic Pack, a cooler, a table top grill and utensils in a case. Tickets are $1.00 each, or 6 for $5.00 and can be purchased from any team member or call 304-354-7484, 3O4-354-6579 or 304-481-8031. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. The drawing will be at the Wayne Underwood Field June 27, during the Relay event. Do not need to be present to win.

AFGHAN RAFFLE - Relay for Life team, Shannon's Shining Stars is selling raffle tickets for this beautiful handmade afghan. Tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00. All proceeds go to the American cancer society.
