SOUP AND SANDWICH SALE - The Calhoun County Historical Society will be sponsoring a soup and sandwich luncheon on Friday, March 27 from 11:00 to 2:00 at the History Center Museum in Grantsville. A variety of soups and sandwiches will be available for purchase.

BINGO FUNDRAISER - Amish-Made Baskets, Primitive Decor, and Pampered Chef Bingo. Saturday, March 28 at the Gilmer County Recreation Center in Glenville. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Games begin at 6:00 p.m. 20 games for a $20 donation. 21st game available at the door. Raffle, Silent Auction, 50/50 tickets and concessions. "FRIENDS HELPING FRIENDS" GIVING BACK BENEFIT - A benefit for Colleen and Jim Sullivan will be Sunday, March 29th at the Calhoun County Committee on Aging-Grantsville Senior Center, beginning at 11 a.m. Colleen was transferred from Camden Clark in Parkersburg to Ross Heart Hospital at Ohio State University where they will perform heart valve replacement. All proceeds will go toward medical expenses, continued doctor appointments, and travel expenses. Jim and Colleen have given to our community many times volunteering endless hours for different organizations, programs, and organizing benefits for those in need. A gofundme account has been set up on Facebook for those unable to attend the benefit. Menu will be Jim's chicken recipe (Carl Ballengee) and Loren, baked potato, green beans, tea, lemonade, water, dessert. Jason Nettles will auctioneer which will begin approximately 1:00 p.m. The benefit is coordinated by local hospital employees and the group of "Friends Helping Friends" for neighbors in need. VFW LADIES AUXILIARY FUNDRAISER - The Ladies Auxiliary of Grantsville VFW Post 5959 will be having a Hot Dog, Baked Goods and an Indoor Yard Sale on Friday, April 3rd, beginning at 11 a.m. at the VFW Post on Mill Street, Grantsville.

LONGABERGER BASKET & 31 GIFTS BENEFIT BINGO - For cancer patient, Crystal Hawkins. Saturday, April 4th at the Newton Community Building, Newton WV. Doors open at 5 p.m. Bingo starts 6 p.m. $25 per ticket. 2 bingos per game (1 basket and 1 31 Gifts item) There will be door prize drawings, special game, shape games, raffles, silent auction, concessions with baked goods. LIONS CLUB BINGO - Grantsville Lions Club, 103 Stump Street will have their regular Bingo, Saturday, April 4, and the first Saturday night of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. Refreshments available with lots of fun and fellowship. Proceeds from these fund raising events go back into the community, in the form of Scholarships for students desiring to further their education, our Vision Program (for those needing vision care) and many other worthy causes.

SHOOTING MATCH - The Central WV Riding Club will be holding a shooting match at Holly Gray Park on Saturday, April 11. The shoot will begin at 10:00 a.m. There will be 12 and 16 gauge matches (no modified guns) for 5 hams, 5 turkeys and 10 money rounds. There will also be a .22 money shoot at the end of the match for anyone interested in participating. All proceeds will benefit the Tiffany Jackson Memorial Scholarship Fund. Last bike/vehicle out by 12-noon. Dice run with prizes for highest and lowest score! Prizes awarded at last stop. Raffle and 50/50. Entry is $15.00 per person, $20 per couple.
