CAR WASH & BAKE SALE - Calhoun Jr. League Reds are having a car wash and bake sale Saturday, April 18th at the Grantsville Foodland from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. There will be lots of individually wrapped baked goods and hot dogs fresh off the grill. Funds will help with umpire fees for their games. Come on out and support the team.

DINNER DIVA’S RELAY FOR LIFE FUNDRAISER - Family Fun Night at the Wirt County Primary Center gymnasium/cafeteria. Saturday, April 18th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Games include, Hula Hoop Toss, Goldfish Game, Bounce House, Wii Games, Coin Drop, Duck Pond, Photo Booth, Angry Birds/Minion Bowling, Limbo. Each game will require a certain amount of tickets. Tickets 3 for a $1, 18 for $5, or 35 for $10. Concessions will be sold. For more information call Casey Cunningham 304-275-3301. Dinner Diva’s/Coplin Clinic have been providing and preparing the Survivor Dinner at Wirt County Relay For Life for 12+ years. 5TH ANNUAL RAMP DINNER - With proceeds going to the American Heart Association and Davis Elementary School. Sunday, April 19 at Vae’s Diner, 517 Elk St. Gassaway. Serving family style-All you can eat for $10 a person. FOUR PERSON GOLF SCRAMBLE - At Mingo Bottom Golf Club, 238 Wells Lock Road, Elizabeth WV, sponsored by Relay For Life of Wirt County, Saturday, April 25. LIONS CLUB BINGO - Grantsville Lions Club, 103 Stump Street will have their regular Bingo, Saturday, May 2nd, and the first Saturday night of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. Refreshments available with lots of fun and fellowship. Proceeds from these fund raising events go back into the community, in the form of Scholarships for students desiring to further their education, our Vision Program (for those needing vision care) and many other worthy causes.

QUILT & PICNIC PACK RAFFLES - The Pleasant Hill Relay for Life Team is sponsoring raffle tickets on two items to raise money for the American Cancer Society (see above) A Marshall queen size quilt, designed by Brian Hastewell, pieced by Janet Rucker and quilted by Maysel Bowe. The second item is a Picnic Pack, a cooler, a table top grill and utensils in a case. Tickets are $1.00 each, or 6 for $5.00 and can be purchased from any team member or call 304-354-7484, 3O4-354-6579 or 304-481-8031. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. The drawing will be at the Wayne Underwood Field June 27, during the Relay event. Do not need to be present to win.

AFGHAN RAFFLE - Relay for Life team, Shannon's Shining Stars is selling raffle tickets for this beautiful handmade afghan. Tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00. All proceeds go to the American cancer society. QUILT RAFFLE - The Calhoun County Committee on Aging is raffling tickets for a handmade "Trip Around the World" quilt (see above) The Queen size quilt top was pieced by Lela White and hand quilted by the CCCOA Quilters. Proceeds will go to CCCOA Seniors. Tickets are being sold for $1 each or 6 for $5. Purchasing can be done at the CCCOA in Grantsville (Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm) or by mailing order to PO Box 619, Grantsville, WV 26147 (include a self-addressed envelope) Drawing on Wednesday, May 8th at 11 am (need not be present to win).
