FOOD & BAKE SALE - Hot Dog, Taco, Nacho Cheese and Chips and baked goods sale, Friday, May 6th and Saturday May 7th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Holbert's Store in Big Bend. Proceeds will benefit The Little Kanawha Valley Christian School, please come out and show your support.

MARCHING CAROUSELS MIX-IT-UP BINGO - Friday, May 6th at the Arnoldsburg Community Park. Doors open at 5 Bingo begins at 6 p.m. *Thirty-One and Longaberger Bingo to help with upcoming expenses towards the Marching Carousels Twirling Corp participation in the 2016 NBTA National Competition in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in June. $20 for 20 Games of Bingo. HOT DOG & BAKE SALE - The Welfare of Animals Group (WAG) will have a Hot Dog & Bake Sale in front of NAPA in Grantsville, Saturday, May 7 from 9:00-1:00 to raise money for our spay/neuter program. Please come out and support us as we work to care for the pets in Calhoun County. Donations of baked goods to help the cause are greatly appreciated. Please call Gail at 304-354-6363.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME BINGO - Featuring Toby Wagoner. Mix and Match prizes. Saturday, May 7th at the Arnoldsburg Community Building. Doors open at 4 p.m. Games start at 5 p.m. Sponsored by Calhoun 4-H Leaders. 20 Games for $20. Join us for another exciting Bingo experience as we cheer on our favorite teams with Take Me Out to the Ballgame Bingo. Everyone is asked to dress in support of their team (any sport) Expect crazy fans, team colors, games, music, fun, and all that on top of traditional Bingo. Who ever has the most team spirit will win an Extra Bingo Card. Early Bird Tickets are available through 4 p.m. Friday, May 6th. Prizes may include Longaberger, Thirty One bags, Vera Bradley, Case Knives and more. All proceeds go toward Calhoun 4-H Camp and other 4-H Program activities. LIONS CLUB BINGO - Grantsville Lions Club, 103 Stump Street will have their regular Bingo, Saturday, May 7 and the first Saturday night of each month, starting at 6:00 p.m. Refreshments available with lots of fun and fellowship. Proceeds from these fund raising events go back into the community, in the form of Scholarships for students desiring to further their education, our Vision Program (for those needing vision care) and many other worthy causes.

GRANTSVILLE THRIFT STORE FUNDRAISER - The Thrift Store in Grantsville, sponsored by Family Resource Network is having an Aloha Friday Fundraiser, Friday, May 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. They will be selling lunch, including Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Cole Slaw, Pineapple Upside-Down Cake and Lemonade for $4.00.

BASKET AND BAG BINGO - Saturday, May 14th at the Gilmer County Rec Center. Doors will open at noon. Games start at 1:00 p.m. 20 games for $20.00. Prizes include Pampered Chef, tools, purses and much more! All proceeds will go toward the expenses for the GSC Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble to attend and perform at the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference at the University of Tennessee. FOUR PERSON GOLF SCRAMBLE - Relay For Life of Wirt County 2016 is sponsoring a Four Person Golf Scramble on Saturday, May 14 at Mingo Bottom Golf Club, 238 Wells Lock Road in Elizabeth WV. Registration at 9:00 a.m. - Shotgun start 10:00 a.m. Entry Fee $50 per person, includes green fees, cart and breakfast and lunch. Prizes for 1st and 2nd Place Teams - Prizes for Special Games. CAR SHOW & SILENT AUCTION - Cross Country Christian Academy, located at 170 Hollywood Road Newton WV, will be having a Car Show-Silent Auction fundraiser on Saturday, May 28. To pre-register your vehicle call Tracie Hallman at 304-565-3399. All vehicles are welcome. Entry fee will be $10.00 with the show starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m. All vehicles will receive a participation certificate and one "People's Choice" award will be given at approximately noon. There will be vendor tables with various items for sale (tables available for $10.00), a Silent Auction and Concessions as well. MISS WV PIONEER ROYALTY PAGEANT FUNDRAISER - Saturday, June 11th at the Pioneer Grill, Glenville, WV. Supreme Titles for ages 0-15. Miss WV Pioneer Title age 16-21 will be recognized during the Folk Festival June 16th-18th. Proceeds will go to Children's Hospital of Pittsburg's Camp Chihopi who gives transplant patients the opportunity to enjoy a full summer camp experience. BASKET RAFFLE The Calhoun County Library is raffling off 4 baskets (see above) Basket #1 has beauty items: jewelry, lotions, body washes, candles, gift certificates, etc. Basket #2 has a variety of itmes including a purse, wax warmer night light and melts, Fenton glass angel, copy of a Charlie Whipkey picture, etc. Basket #3 has kitchen items including Pampered Chef and Tastefully Simple items, a Paula Deen cookbook and a massage gift certificate, etc. #4 is a handcrafted tin man and a Howard Miller songbirds of North America Clock. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. For more information call the library at 304-354-6300. Tickets can be purchased from any staff or board member and at the library. Baskets will be on display at the library. Drawing will be June 3rd.

Drawing will be Friday, July 1st at 11 a.m. (Need not be present to win) Proceeds will go to CCCOA Seniors. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
