FIVE ARRESTED IN CLAY METH BUST

Authorities are saying the production of meth is on the upswing again.

Five have been arrested in Clay County, with State Police saying they had been operating a meth lab on Morgan Carr Road.

The five have been charged with operating a clandestine meth lab and conspiracy to operate a clandestine meth lab.

Charged, Melinda Sue Habjan, 41; William Carl Johnson, 34; Isaiah Todd Murphy, 20, and Ryan Scott Bird, 22, all of Clay. Leighann Nicole Lloyd, 20, is from Left Hand, Roane County.

Bail for four of the suspects has been set at $75,000, with bail for Habjan set at $77,000. All five are currently in Central Regional Jail.
